One of Israel’s biggest international bands, Orphaned Land is regarded as the creator and pioneer of the oriental metal genre and a seven-time award winner. The band has traveled in more than 50 countries and released two live albums in addition to six studio albums. In addition to their popularity, the band caused a revolution in Arab nations and gained a devoted fan base, some of whom had tattoos of the band’s logo and lyrics on their bodies and some of whom were even sent to jail for their admiration of the band.
