1. A video work set to “Sitting in Front of the Paper” by Arik Einstein, performed by Dana Ivgy.
The piece was created from footage I documented continuously throughout the past year and later edited into a single work. It was made to mark six months since the outbreak of the war, while also reflecting on the six months of protests that preceded it – together forming a year of introspection, both personal and national. Alongside the heartbreaking lyrics, written in 1986, I found them to resonate today with striking and painful relevance.
2. A video work set to “We Shall Meet Again” by Arik Einstein, performed by Ester Rada.
The piece is composed of video fragments I filmed throughout the past year – moments of ongoing reality woven together into one continuous sequence. Created to mark one year since the war began, it captures a distilled sense of hope within a harsh and bitter reality. Einstein’s words – “We shall meet again, and all will be good” – embody for me an acknowledgment of pain too vast to contain, alongside a clear yet hopeful gaze toward the future, and the belief that true goodness still awaits us – through connection.
