Join The Revolution!
When was the last time you saw orchestra musicians dancing as they play?
Interacting with actors and video art?
Interpreting music in their own unique way?
This is exactly what The Revolution Orchestra is all about – a creative ensemble at the crossroads of music and the performing arts. We may look like an orchestra but operate like a rock band.
Join the revolution and experience excerpts from our acclaimed productions:
Moods – A work for an orchestra in motion, journeying from Chopin’s Prelude to Radiohead’s Exit Music. This show aso premiered internationally at SIBFEST.
(E)Motion Without Movement – A poetic voyage into the artist’s soul, combining theatre, video art, and orchestra. This show premiered internationally at Tbilisi International Theater Festival.
I Shall Speak to You – Two Languages. One Love. – A cultural bridge through music, connecting Hebrew and Arabic in one emotional encounter. The show has been staged more than twenty times, received a warm embrace from Israeli audiences and critics, and has now evolved into an educational program developed by the Israeli Ministry of Education.
Founded in 2004 by composer Zohar Sharon and conductor Roy Oppenheim, The Revolution Orchestra creates innovative interdisciplinary performances where dance, theatre, film, and video art illuminate and expand the music itself. The orchestra’s shows attract more than 40,000 audience members each year across three branded annual series – The Revolution Series – at the Israeli Opera, Herzliya Performing Arts Center, and Haifa Auditorium.
Step aboard our artistic rollercoaster – an orchestral experience like no other!
